With the sudden and tragic accident of Chi Cheng, which left him in a very bad state, Deftones was forced with a decision. To release the album with Chi on it, ‘Eros‘. Decided to call it quits until Chi was fully healthy. Or start from scratch and make a mind blowing album. The band chose the third and with their release of ‘Diamond Eyes‘, they went on to make one of their most solid records yet.
Oh Kylie Minogue. Another fantastic album. Some of you might be shocked as to why she isn’t number 1. Well besides the fact that 2 other amazing releases came out this year too, Ms. Minogue also had a fantastic record which I loved. Her album this year, ‘Aphrodite‘, was an amazing dance album and a huge step up from her album, ‘X‘. So here is #3, Kylie Minogue with ‘Aphrodite‘.
Ever since I heard ‘Walking With Strangers‘, The Birthday Massacre has been taken their time crafting a new record. ‘Pins and Needles‘ came out in September of this year and boy did they not disappoint with an amazing record once again.
When Goldfrapp released the first single to ‘Head First‘, titled ‘Rocket‘, oh boy was I ever excited for it. After what was a very dissappointing release in ‘Seventh Tree‘, Goldfrapp came back with a record that put them back on the map of making great music.
